Central / East Mountain

Sherwood Secondary is known for its athletic programs, particularly the Hockey Canada Skills Academy — one of the few in Ontario. The school also offers a Specialist High Skills Major and extensive co-op placements with local employers. A solid choice for students interested in sports, trades, or hands-on learning.
West Mountain

Westmount stands out for its unique Self-Directed, Self-Paced learning program — one of the most established in the province. Students can progress through coursework at their own speed, making it ideal for self-motivated learners. The OYAP program also provides a strong pathway into skilled trades.
East Mountain

Glendale serves East Mountain families with a broad range of academic and technological programs. The school has strong technological education offerings and provides both academic and applied pathways for students with different learning goals.
West Mountain

South Hamilton Mountain

West Hamilton (off-Mountain)
While located off the Mountain, Westdale is the HWDSB's designated IB school and also offers French Immersion. Many Mountain families choose Westdale specifically for these programs. Commute from the Mountain is approximately 15–20 minutes.
