Worth Considering: Off-Mountain Options

Some Mountain families choose high schools just outside the Mountain for specialized programs.

Westdale Secondary School

West Hamilton (off-Mountain)

While located off the Mountain, Westdale is the HWDSB's designated IB school and also offers French Immersion. Many Mountain families choose Westdale specifically for these programs. Commute from the Mountain is approximately 15–20 minutes.
